Linbian Fishing Village, Pingtung

Project Title: Community-Based Fisheries Initiative: International Collaboration for Local Revitalization

This project focuses on the aquaculture areas of Linbian, Jiadong, and Donggang in Pingtung. Addressing the challenges of an aging population and industrial transformation, it connects higher education with real-world contexts to cultivate students’ ability to tackle structural issues.

By integrating and reflecting on international experiences between Taiwan and Japan, and through aquatic food education and locally grounded actions, the project supports communities in redefining their unique strengths. Ultimately, it aims to advance sustainable development and cultural continuity in fishing communities.
