The Way to Flip Education in Rural Area: Build a Platform and Strategy for Educational Task Force

For Us in IPE and USR Project

IPE was established in 2020. When I was asked to join the cooperation for USR Project and IPE, I felt nervous. It was hard to image that we will try to do something that new for college of Education.

I can see my young memory on our IPE students that with some essence and modesty. Everything is just like what happened yesterday. Suddenly, I will become an 40 years old “old man”.

College age is the best and the most unrestrained moment in everyone’s life. Most of college students don’t have to worry about economics and family. If a college student want to have a journey, just pick up the backpack and go. It’s hard to own the same moment in life. Thus, as a college student, when you have change to travel around, don’t miss the chance.

In this summer, USR Project worked on designing the coming practical course and filed works of IPE. Of course, we want to tell you to join and enjoy the field works in different NGOs and Eastern Taiwan. It may be contradict with the methodology of social science. However, we still hope you can love the people and field you meet in the practical course and filed works.

We launched Safari of Education before new semester. Frankly speaking, we believe that’s the best beginning for new students. In the magnificent Eastern Coast or small village, people’s effort and perspiration for education and township are all the same. That’s the way educator should be, so do you.

Please forgive my nagging. I don’t want to be an annoying uncle in your college life. I will not keep on asking your life, test and everything detailed. However, when you meet accident or emergency, please be sure let me know that. As you know, college life is a journey, you may get lost or injured on your way. My vital job is to find you when you got lost, and take you back to the track. You will learn to love, work and travel along, then find your way home.

We will spend 1000 days together in NCNU. Please let USR Project walk and keep on wandering with you quietly. We wish you the most amazing scenery in your life.
