“Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Seeking for Common Good” & “Agriculture and Green Energy Symbiosis”:Technology and Value Innovation with Democratizing Technologies as Action Core
Yong-shun Tsai participated in this project. He is a youth farmer, moved back from Taipei years ago to start his organic farm, and mainly produced guava and pitaya. He inherited his grandfather’s farm, and decided to maintain his farm as organic as to safeguard his child’s health. He is a senior student in the school for photosynthetic bacteria.
“A great helper-Microorganisms”
Tsai said, “We used to use 34 packs of fertilizers every month. Starting from this year, we improved surrounding biological environment and adjusted our yield, plus the use of microorganisms improved soil. We don’t have to use as much fertilizers as before, and is using less than 5 packs of them in a month now.”
With the assistance from Dr. Liao at Food Industry Research and Development Institute and members from Cheng-kung university's USR project, my knowledge in farming with microorganisms grew deeper. Ecological friendly farming is a upcoming trend, and we hope to raise better plants by promoting ecology friendly methods, and to provide natural produces to the market.
