National Pingtung University

National Pingtung University (NPTU) is the first comprehensive university to integrate three major systems, including higher education, vocational education, and teacher education, in the history of Taiwan’s higher education. With the aim of University-Government-Schooling & Society-Industry & International (UGSI), NPTU devotes and commits to integrate regional revitalization, geographic features, and social cultures, to connect institutions, government, societies, industries, and the world, to practice University Social Responsibility (USR), and to promote University Corporate Social Responsibility (UCSR) with enterprises. Students are encouraged to join and practice social responsibilities to emphasize the effectiveness of learning and thinking.

To bridge students to the global job market and echo the New Southbound Policy, NPTU energetically develops talents with diverse proficiency and global mobility. In line with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations, NPTU will keep moving forward on the way of sustainable university 4.0, which emphasizes teaching, research, university-industry cooperation, and social responsibility, and become a university of excellence in teaching and research in southern Taiwan.
